after hanging with mia for only a few minutes, it was clear she's out to change the world.

she started the wright group in 2005 and leads the development of public health and community demonstration projects for underserved populations. in 2008 she was named the impact leader of the year...nbd. she recently developed two national projects focused on ending violence against women ( ending violence against women at historically black colleges & universities and the national partnership to reduce intimate partner violence and hiv.) mia earned her masters in public health from gwu and served as an adjunct professor in the department of prevention and community health from 2006 to 2009. she still lectures on a variety of topics surrounding the non-profit sector and minority women’s health issues.
