unhear it.

a

get beiber's latest shite out of your head (i'm not going to ask how it got there in the first place) with unhear it: a website specializing in reverse-aduitory-melodic-unstickification technology. basically, they play other catchy tunes to replace the one in your head, like "double rainbow metal version" or "the bed intruder song" or bowie's "space oddity."

apple-scented breakfast oatmeal + buckwheat.

a
bc it's been ages since we've talked food and there's nothing like a warm bowl of oatmeal on a snowy winter morning. found this guy on whole foods.

serves 4

top this nutritious, hearty breakfast with fresh berries, dried fruit and nuts or flax seeds and then pour a bit of hemp or almond milk over the top. only have frozen fruit on hand? stir it into the pot during the last few minutes of cooking.

ingredients.

1 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup buckwheat groats
2 cups pure apple juice
2 cups water
1 cinnamon stick

put oats and groats into a medium pot and cook over medium heat, stirring often, until toasted and fragrant, 5 to 7 minutes. meanwhile, put juice, water and cinnamon into a small pot and heat over medium heat until hot.

carefully add hot juice mixture to oats and groats and return to the heat. bring to a boil, reduce heat to medium low and simmer, stirring occasionally, until liquid is absorbed and oats and groats are tender, about 10 minutes. remove and discard cinnamon, ladle into bowls and serve.

beth | boudoir.

a

this is beth. we met what feels like ages ago in the georgetown urban outfitters - she working, me shopping, and i asked her about her hair (it was a little shorter than it is now.) i'd been thinking of going twiggy for a few months but wasn't sure if it would work. she said she loved having short hair and i was sold. anyway, beth and i met up a few weeks ago and took these pictures. she's got amazing style and i'm pretty much in love with them all.
