flynn + scarlett | sneak peek

a

we last saw flynn and scarlett this time last year. scarlett was a new baby and flynn was just getting used to having a little sister. now scarlett is walking, talking, and has the most adorable sense of humor. oh, and she's sprouted the cutest flop of hair you've ever seen. it defies gravity. flynn has grown so much...he loves cooking pancakes with mom + dad, spotting the sailboat ornaments on the christmas tree, and sidewalk chalk (omg sidewalk chalk.) it's amazing how much these two have changed in such a short time...but one thing's stayed the same -- merlin, their grey-faced golden. he's just as adorable as ever and i want to take him home with me. three cats and a golden. sounds like a movie. in which my husband leaves me.

addison + jackson | sneak peek

a

i can't tell you how much joy this photo brings me.
when we first met addison and jackson, they were little tykes with bright blonde locks and huge personalities. it's so amazing meeting up with them over a year later to see how much they've grown. addy has a full head of hair, a smile that will melt your heart, and a genuine love for her bear, pookie. jackson's developed a love for star wars, is still enamored by jon, and is absolutely as funny as ever.

nina + rowan | sneak peek

when we first arrived, nina was comfy-cozy and fast asleep in her stroller. rowan was playing a version of golf...involving a wiffle ball, what looked like a hokey stick, and a yard full of leaves. nina was awake within minutes and we headed to the sidewalk for some chalk action. after drawing a few monster hands and superhero gloves, we went inside for apple pie and painting. rowan spent the rest of the shoot explaining the intricacies of super hero gloves and making guns out of paper, while nina sat in dad's lap and snacked on pie. the cutest thing? when nina reached up for jon and rested her head on his shoulder. i think he just about melted!

jack + ben | sneak peek

a

ben and jon became best friends the minute jon mentioned he knew how to play "monsters" = tag...with monsters. jon also knows his way around star wars, which is apparently the key to ben's heart. little jack was a bit shy at first, hiding behind dad's legs while snacking on apples. as usual, jon worked his baby magic and jack was all smiles (with the occasional mom/dad cuddle.)
one thing's for sure...these kids are CUTE.
