when we first arrived, nina was comfy-cozy and fast asleep in her stroller. rowan was playing a version of golf...involving a wiffle ball, what looked like a hokey stick, and a yard full of leaves. nina was awake within minutes and we headed to the sidewalk for some chalk action. after drawing a few monster hands and superhero gloves, we went inside for apple pie and painting. rowan spent the rest of the shoot explaining the intricacies of super hero gloves and making guns out of paper, while nina sat in dad's lap and snacked on pie. the cutest thing? when nina reached up for jon and rested her head on his shoulder. i think he just about melted!

jack + ben | sneak peek
a
ben and jon became best friends the minute jon mentioned he knew how to play "monsters" = tag...with monsters. jon also knows his way around star wars, which is apparently the key to ben's heart. little jack was a bit shy at first, hiding behind dad's legs while snacking on apples. as usual, jon worked his baby magic and jack was all smiles (with the occasional mom/dad cuddle.)
one thing's for sure...these kids are CUTE.

baby bryn | sneak peek
a
meet bryn. likes: fuzzy shoes, mom + dad, gumming leaves, holding her own bottle. when she gets really excited her whole body goes stiff, her hands shake, and she opens her eyes and mouth really wide...it's quite possibly one of the funniest things i've ever seen. when she laughs her eyes light up and you can't help but laugh too. she's a gorgeous baby with the happiest smile...take a peek, her adorable face is bound to cause a smile or two.

adrian, julian + victoria | sneak peek.
a
after a few minutes of pensively investigating our bag o' toys, victoria quietly sat beneath a bright red tree with her mini-camera keychain...that is until she discovered THE SWINGS. then it was all laughs and giggles and swinging upside down. meanwhile, the boys (julian and adrian) were running around the grounds of glen echo park -- jumping in leaves, free running over picnic tables, and playing hide and seek with jon. julian later told his mom that playing with jon was "better than trick-or-treating." ha! how cute is that? best. compliment. ever.
