lorna and her adorably irish brood met jon and i last weekend at stone ridge’s gorgeous campus in bethesda. unfortunately for us, the weather man lied, and it didn't rain a drop all day. as a result, we were soaked with humidity and attacked by kamikaze gnats who wanted nothing more than to dive-bomb into our eyes. lorna and her fam were beyond troopers -- little pj entertained his sisters with an amazing rendition of the thriller dance while ranger, a sweet golden retriever, chased squirrels. here’s their sneak peek!

early yesterday morning, jon and i met up with inna and her family at the gorgeous brookside gardens -- i could get used to spending every weekend at this place. minus the humidity. and bugs.

elise is quite simply one of the most adorable babies i’ve ever met. not to mention she hammed her way through nearly two hours of session time which is totally rare for a baby her age. and let’s not forget -- her dad’s a rugger!

a very diner sunday.

in the five years i’ve lived in dc, i’ve never once seen adams morgan in the morning light. erin and her family, on the other hand, frequent a-mo’s the diner so it made perfect sense we’d begin our shoot within it’s retro walls. josie enjoyed a stack of pancakes and i witnessed yet another first: homefries dipped in butter. then we headed into the humidity for rock creek park where josie rode her “tippy” bike, blew bubbles, and made mom touch slugs.
